Animal Farm

Animal Farm by George Orwell is truly a fantastic book. It has the ideas about the Russian revolution on into it and it's just simply good. If you haven't read it yet, go get it. Today my day was alright. At the morning I did my Animal Farm essay at class. Which I was fully prepared since I wrote a rough draft last night on my computer. And you would able to see the rough draft too. Then I had High School CPR. That thing is for me to get my first ad badge or certificate. Then I went to get pizza and then yea. Planning and CS is both really boring classes. I managed to leave the school at 2:40pm. Nothing much is happening, oh yes I did badly on my math test. Got a 71% but didn't expect that. I was looking forward to achieve an A since it was the last test of the term. Anyways, hope somehow I get a B in Math.
Here's my rough essay that I did on Animal Farm:

In the story Animal Farm, we see how the farm is being organized and it has changed overtime. One of the most important thing of running a community or organization is the leader or the person in power. Only the smartest one will become the leader, being the boss is not the easy job. “Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely”. In animal farm we see that when a person is on top of the society, he then becomes hubris and does not look at or try to sense how their followers are feeling, they would only care about the strong position they had gained and do whatever it takes to stay at their current status of the ladder.

Power corrupts ones behavior and attitude. At the start of the story, we are introduced to the owner of the farm, Mr. Jones. He is the owner and the leader of his farm: “he had locked the hen-houses for night, but was too drunk to remember to shut the pop-holes.” (p.1) Mr. Jones is a drunken man, he is obsessed with drinking. With the power he has with his farm and the money he has, he have a lot of spare time to drink, but it is corrupting both his health and his mental emotions. When Mr. Jones thinks his farm is running well, he thinks he had achieved absolute power, therefore he totally slacks off: “For whole days at time he would lounge in his Windsor chair in the kitchen, reading newspapers and drinking.” (p.11) as you can see, the man is totally off it. He used to be a hard working man at his younger ages which brought the farm up into a profitable organization. Now that when he thought that he had achieved absolute power, it had corrupted Mr. Jones into a lazy, useless and senseless man.

One, who has power, can sacrifice anyone, including his friends, race, teammates and comrades. When Snowball and Napoleon raises up, they both already had power, but the power corrupted them and made them want more: “He was running as only as a pig can run, but the dogs were close on his heels.” (p.35) .This was the scene when Napoleon commanded his dogs and drove Snowbell out of the farm. As you see, the two pigs use to be partners ruling the farm; they were running it strongly together. The power they had gained had drove the power of teamwork away and making Napoleon want to work alone. Napoleon had a really good comrade at the farm, one who always obeyed him and follow every word he said. It was Boxer but the power of friendship is not strong enough: “Do you not understand what that means? They are taking Boxer to the knackers’!” (p.82). Napoleon, after being the leader of the farm, had gained absolute power. He had sent one of his best friends to death just because he wants a little more money.

When you are the leader, you simply think yourself as the most important central part; you forget the feelings of others around you. Napoleon used to be a little pig just when the Old Major introduced the idea of rebellion and such. He had also showed the farm a song called Beasts of England; everyone loved it. When Napoleon thought it was unnecessary, he took it out immediately without good understanding of others: “Beasts of England had been abolished.” (p.59). that shows when you have power, you just care about yourself, you would not look into the feelings of others. Once Napoleon achieved absolute power, it had really computed him. He did not care the feelings of others but also killed a lot of animals just so the other animals will be afraid of him: “All the animals were slain on the spot.” (p.57). This clearly shows the power has made Napoleon once a caring pig when he was thinking about revolution when he was small and turned into a harsh leader with no mercy just to get more and more power.

When one is on top of the leader, the people below them are not important, once you have achieved absolute power you will do what ever you can to stay at the top, it will corrupt your attitude, relationships with others, and sympathy from your heart. Leadership is the art of influencing human behavior to accomplish a mission so as desired by the leader. People at the top will do what ever they can to finish their goal; they also fear that they will be overthrown so they make sure everyone is scare of them beforehand. They want things done according to their own way. “Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely”, we can definitely reflect all this to the ruling of Mr. Jones and Napoleon in the book Animal Farm.

Naruto Licensed

This great anime series has just been licensed by ShoPro Entertainment. The Naruto series is now officially ready for distribution in North America and Latin America, We still don't know when it'll come out, but I hope it'll be soon. There's up and downs for this. It will now be harder to download anime episodes off the net. The goods will be that we will be able to watch it on TV soon and toys and games will soon all come out. I hope this company does a good job. Some anime series became a failure in North America due to bad organization and promotion from the company, I hope this doesn't happen to Naruto. By the way, I got in Japan Student Exchange 2005, going to a trip to somewhere near Tokyo for around 2 weeks; I'll blog more about this later.

Valentine's Day 2005

The day of the most suicide cases around the world. By the way, according to WO1 Broadway, top numbers of suicide cases are dentists, and second are air traffic controllers. Nothing happened big at school, there was matchmaker’s cards being sold but it was a complete bullshit. Cost 2 dollars and it is not accurate at all. I was looking at my other friends and they were complete bullshit. So, Valentine’s Day… It was a cool day, let’s just say “boo and yay.” There are always two sides of a coin; I would say I am standing right in the middle. For those of you that do not have a valentine, do not be scared, afraid, provoked… Romance will come sooner or later in you life. Cheers for the ones with loved ones and hope your relationships will last. Thus, have fun. I wonder where I will be standing next year…

French Connection

Tomorrow I get my french quiz which will probably determine if I get an A or B in my French Class. By the way, I found a pretty cool clothing company, they are called FCUK, stands for French Connection. It might even give me better marks for wearing it to french class, the shirt saying French Connection™ looks good, I don't like the FCUK ones that much but they do sometimes make me laugh when someone wears it.
Today I just went to a chinese resturant at the morning, went to work, and then went out for dinner. God, I love sweet and sour pork on rice. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, remember to read my blog tomorrow...

Back To Art Designing

I used to use a program called Styles XP around grade 8, at grade 9 I was messing with Windows Blind, then after awhile I was pretty busy, and due to gaming and figuring that skinning causes a lot of resources to my computer, I gave up. Now I am back to the universal of skinning, with all the skills I have learned from Photoshop I wish I could make some really good wallpapers for people to start off with, then I will keep going with skinning, making icons, and cursors. I set up an account on deviant art, it is the portal for new artists and it truly has a great system. At school today it was pretty easy, since it was the last day of the week, everyone was calm and things went by pass. At planning we watched another video by Road Sense showing us some death causes to family members of people that died from car crashes, it was pretty unpleasant. Last night I also got my windows media player 10 running up nice with a cool visualization while playing music. I really do think I need some more ram, tomorrow is a professional day at school. I actually wanted to finish my homework today but I guess I would have to wait till tomorrow. Check out my gallery sometime, it is the icon under I power Blogger. Word of The Day: Art - Human effort to imitate, supplement, alter, or counteract the work of nature.

Ten Copies of One Game

Anyone play World of Warcraft? It is a current MMORPG and it is quite popular. Today at work, this guy came up to me and asked me. "Hey, how many of these I could buy? " He was pointing at World of Warcraft. I was like, oh you can get as many as you like. After a while I saw him taking all of them. Then I reported to my co-worker. Then he was like "shit!", he ran up to the cashier and stopped this man from buying it. Then my co-worker showed me and the other guy the sign on top of the games reading " Note: Due to the high popularity of the game World Of Warcraft, each customer is only allowed one copy" So I was like sorry, and yea nothing pretty much happen. Then I left and did other work. After that I went back and saw the man still there. He was like " I am going to call 10 of my friends to come help me. " I was like okay cool. Then I reported to my co-worker and he said he's probably going to sell it at eBay. After a bit we looked at the time. It was 30 minutes before the store closes and only 1 of his friends came. He told me it was something about his guild and buying all these for his friends but you never know if he’s lying or not. After 30 minutes he was asked to leave the store and took 2 copies with him. What I learned today is some people can try so hard to buy 10 copies of 1 single game like World of Warcraft. The copies will allow him to give his friends to play with him. It wasn't cheap, it was $79.99 CAD per copy. 10 copies will be like $800.00 CAD. By the way, who plays this game?

A New Style

So it looks like the old style of my blog is broken, now I have choose a new one. Sorry about the late posting I had done lately, my blog turned me down because of the skin malfunction. This one fits my style, my personality, I guess it will push me on with Blogger. It's really hard to blog everyday when you have a busy life. School is busy, nevertheless your whole journey of life should be busy. Why? You should live the most out of your life, using the much time as possible, doing the most important things you can.
